Rolls-Royce SMR and Amentum Set Stage for Nuclear Renaissance
Rolls-Royce SMR has appointed Amentum as its programme delivery partner (PDP), a pivotal role in enabling the successful delivery of the first Rolls-Royce Small Modular Reactors (SMRs).
Amentum (NYSE: AMTM) – with its extensive nuclear experience, established supplier network across the UK and Czech Republic, and global footprint – will enable programme delivery, provide integration, oversight and governance, and deliver the construction management programme for the deployment of Europe’s first SMRs.
Rolls-Royce SMR, a leading manufacturing and engineering business, has partnered with Amentum, a globally recognised leader in construction management. By combining their complementary strengths, the two companies are establishing the strongest possible team to enable the successful delivery of a fleet of Small Modular Reactors.

Rolls-Royce SMR has been selected as the preferred bidder by Great British Energy – Nuclear (GBE‑N) to build three units, by European utility ČEZ to build up to three gigawatts of new nuclear power in the Czech Republic and selected in the final two in Sweden by the utility Vattenfall.
The partnership with Amentum will enable the successful delivery of these contracts and further support our social value commitments to localisation in the UK and Czechia, creating and sustaining local jobs and providing opportunities across the supply chain.
Each Rolls-Royce SMR factory-built nuclear power station will produce 470MW of stable, affordable, emission‑free electricity – enough to power a million homes for at least 60 years.
