We are now recruiting for the exciting role of E3S Engineering Interface, to be involved in the compliance for game changing technology within the nuclear industry.   This role provides the unique opportunity of work closely with engineering teams to develop an integrated engineering, safety, security, and environment solution.

This role purpose will be ensuring suitability of E3S requirements articulation and substantiation in the engineering design activities as well as direct E3S analysis resource to deliver engineering design. This is an exciting opportunity where you will be utilising your knowledge of nuclear reactors and environmental good practices to take the project from concept to the final construction, with involvement in the whole process.

 We’re looking for experience and skills in key areas:-

  • Experience and knowledge of PWR plant design and operation.
  • As well as passion for safety we are looking for experience of one or more of nuclear safety, security or environment analysis methods and regulation.
  • A demonstrable ability to work in multidisciplinary teams with people from all levels to tight deadlines.
  • Experience of the UK civil nuclear regulatory regime.


Pay and Benefits 

We anticipate a paying salary of between £55,000 - £58,000

There is also a performance related bonus of up to 12.5%, and an attractive pension scheme with 12% employer and 6% employee contributions. You will also receive a flexible benefits allowance of £2,200, enabling you to create a bespoke package to suit your needs.

Each Rolls-Royce SMR power station will have the capacity to generate 470MW of low carbon energy, equivalent to more than 150 onshore wind turbines and enough to power a million homes. Our Application Process 

Due to the safety regulations within the nuclear industry, applicants will be required to participate in additional screening. These are: 

  • Obtaining Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance  
  • Satisfactory completion of a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check
